Nature - Deer Park

South of Aarhus city in Thor's Forest, there is a deer park. You can find a nice population of Sika roe deer and fallow deer. You can also find wild boars enclosed by fences. You and your children may feed the deer with fresh apples and carrots. However, twice a year, the deer are dangerous. In the spring, the Sika hinds defend their calves by kicking e.g. foxes and humans, and in the autumn (from September to November), during the rut, the stags can be seen fighting for females. They may butt innocent spectators if you find yourself too close to the place of rut. So take special care in these periods. You are welcome from sunrise till sunset - at night the animals need to rest. If you need further information, contact your local secretary and get help.
